Catherine Stalham is the CEO of South Essex Academy Trust.

Catherine Stalham is the CEO of South Essex Academy Trust. With 18 years experience in primary school education and a lifelong passion for learning, she is driven by improving the lives of children through supporting their wellbeing and educational outcomes.

As Headteacher at Winter Gardens Academy, Catherine successfully moved the school from Special Measures to Good, with Outstanding for Leadership and Management and the Early Years Foundation Stage. She is excited in creating and developing leaders by nurturing people’s talents and skills, through a coaching approach. Catherine works in a collaborative way, is outward looking, and is ever ambitious for the children and communities with whom she works.

Catherine’s qualifications include the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). In addition, she holds the post of Director and Chair of Standards Committee on the Trust Board of another Multi Academy Trust.
